On Saturday, May 16, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM, the Museum of Maps and UCIMR will open the “Jazz in the Garden” season in the museum garden with a concert performed by the Sylvain Cossette Quintet.

Participation in the concert is based on registration and the payment of a 20 RON ticket, available HERE.

Gathered around guitarist and composer Sylvain Cossette, musicians Alexandre Côté, Bruno Lamarche, Sébastien Pellerin, and Alain Bourgeois create a dynamic sound universe based on exploration and artistic dialogue.

The quintet proposes a modern, open jazz, with varied influences and special attention to detail and expressiveness. Each composition shapes its own identity, and the performance highlights both the dialogue between the instrumentalists and the freedom of improvisation, in a subtle balance between rigor and spontaneity.
